What is Stress?

Stress is your body's natural response to anything that requires attention or action, whether physical, emotional or even psychological. Everyone experiences stress to an extent throughout their lives. What can transform your life is the way you react and manage when faced with stressful situations. Having the ability to manage your emotions and to calm your mind when faced with stress can have a huge impact on your overall wellbeing and mindset.

Why is it important to
recognise the signs of stress?

Stress can be caused by a number of factors including work, money, relationships or illness. It can manifest in several ways, leaving you feeling overwhelmed or anxious, worried, irritable, impatient or nervous. It's important to recognise the signs of stress early as it can also lead to physical symptoms such as headaches or dizziness, a faster heartbeat or even stomach problems. By identifying early stress indicators, you can use stress management techniques such as yogic breathing, mindfulness and NLP to reduce symptoms of stress and to even help prevent them arising at all.

How can stress
impact the workplace?

Occupational stress can cause a lot of problems for businesses, with employees becoming less engaged with their work and more likely to take sick days or become ill. It can lead to higher staff turnover rates, low morale and motivation, poor time-keeping and increased staff complaints. Stress in the workplace can be triggered by long hours, heavy workloads, job insecurity, inadequate working environment, bad management practices and a lack of support.

Benefits of Stress Management in the Workplace

Client Testimonial

I spent over a year improving my self-awareness and desperately wanted to move away from the place where I had felt stuck for over 25 years. I really felt that I knew what was wrong and what I needed to do - but I just couldn’t do it, however hard I tried. My low self-esteem and negative thoughts were not shifting. It felt like I was going through life dragging along a ton weight, exhausted and ended up hating myself even more.

Rex persuaded me to give NLP a go. I was very skeptical, however, after the first session I could see how this really could help me, it was that quick. I revisited some unhappy memories that I had clung onto and Rex helped me remove these from the weight I was carrying. This new sense of freedom gave me space to consider my future and move forwards to who I wanted to be. I realised anything was achievable – even things I thought I could never and would never change. I was able to kick the unhealthy habits which had made me so unwell. I noticed the self-chatter I had been repeating to myself were quickly replaced with positive thoughts – at last!

I absolutely know I could not have done this alone and the support Rex has given me has been invaluable. I would highly recommend it to everyone. You are all worthy. Make that change, it is never too late.
